In December 2016, a home school robotics club called, "Team Name Wanted Dead or Alive," made up of 6th, 7th and 8th graders (including my brilliant cousin, Stephen Alexander) took 3rd place at San Jacinto College's Robotics Meet. A few days later, they called to see if I could put together artwork of their team for t-shirts. It took me a couple of days and about 7 hours, with original sketching, edits and graphics, but I came up with several submissions for their team.
Competing with my artwork on their chest, this incredible first year team surpassed all expectations. They outscored local and national teams to make it all the way to international Championships.
Out of 6000 teams, only 700 made it to Championships from four Leagues: First Lego League Jr (age 6-9), FIRST Lego League (9-13), FIRST Tech Challenge (12 - High school senior), and FIRST Robotics Competition (12-High School Senior).
Team Name Wanted Dead or Alive not only came in 51st place in their League, but they made the Channel 2 news while doing it! Click the link below to see their coverage.
