My Amazing Day 'Dreaming'

Thanks to my amazing theater teacher from Baines Middle School, Mrs. McNeely, and the sponsors of the Sienna Dream League, I had the great fortune of volunteering with the most talented group of baseball players.
The Sienna Dreams are a feisty and determined group of batters. They are scrappy like the underestimated players in "A League of our Their Own." But it only takes a few minutes into the game to realize that they have mental fortitude and don't give up.
I had such a fantastic time spending my morning with these incredible athletes - and my mom who hooted and hollered and put on a grand display for these beautiful kids.
The Sienna Dream League is a special needs baseball program developed to give those with special needs a chance to play ball like everyone else. They all have different ability levels, strengths and talents, and none of them give up! They swing until they hit a ball and run, walk and hop until they hit home base. I was truly inspired to be around this team of dreams!
