Candy for the Troops

Special thanks to my neighbor, Mrs. Pauline Downing, for coordinating the Leftover Halloween Candy Drive for our troops! This year, our family purchased bags and bags of candy, but were left disappointed when we only had a handful of trick-or-treaters. My mom even rigged up a super cool witch this year to descend from the upstairs patio down to the doorbell. Oh well, not to fret! Due to Mrs. Downing's commitment to her sons who serve our country, and all of our troops, we were able to give our left over candy to the best of causes. Together with our Sienna neighbors, we donated 14 boxes of candy to our troops oversees and 10 boxes were shipped to the USS Monterey. 🎃
